ASUS is a strong supporter of Windows 8. Knowing ASUS I feel like they accounted for Windows 8 and made it possible to use it. I would say that the motherboard is good enough to run fine and I know it will work.

To answer your question simply, Yes it will support Windows 8. As a matter of fact any computer that is capable of running Windows 7 will also be able to run Windows 8 according to Microsoft. While Windows 8 is designed with a touch screen in mind, it is also usable with the standard mouse and keyboard navigation.

That actual system requirements to run Windows 8 is quite minimal and any newer computer will be equipped with more than enough to be able to run it.
