the scond is better . but id reccomend you increase that ram to 8gb . its barely more (maybe 20ish bucks) rams very cheap these days . and id say for the same price if your on a tight budget buy a gtx 460 on ebay . its still far more powerful than the gtx 550ti. if not step up to at least a 560 or 560 ti to do your rig justice

You didn’t list a processor with the first list. One of the most important components is the power supply, I would go with a corsair, seasonic, antec, or XFX power supply.

    @ Kazuma,

Your second build looking better except motherboard.

You have selected P67 Asus mobo which is of no use if you are trying to pair with i5-2500. P67 motherboards to be used with Overcloking CPU’s like i5-2500k. Since you are not overclocking, you may have to look for H67 boards like the one mentioned in the first build.

    1. Non K Processor like i5-2400 + P67 mobo = No onboard Display + No Overclocking
    2. K Series Processor like i5-2500k + P67 mobo = No onboard Display + Overclocking
    3. Non K Processor like i5-2400 + H67 mobo = Intel IGP Enabled with Onboard Dsplay + No Overclocking + Lucid Logic Virtue Software support with dynamic switching between IGP and dedicated GPU (if Plugged) as per application need

Regarding GPU, check if you can get Asus ENGTX560 Ti DCII/2DI/1GD5 or SAPPHIRE HD 6870 1GB instead of 550Ti.

    Hope this information helps.
