What should i do to my gaming system to upgrade it?

Question by Ian: What should i do to my gaming system to upgrade it?
I am currently running the following specs:

Motherboard: Asus M4A78T-E
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
GPU: 2x Radeon 6800 in crossfire
RAM: 8GB Corsair DDR3 (2x4GB 1600 speed)
HDD: Samsung HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM

if i have 200 dollars to soup up the system a bit, what should i do?

Thanks!
SSD was a possibility i was considering. However, i don’t think my motherboard has a 6Gb/s port… is it still worth it? Is an extra 8gb of ram worth it?

Finally, the only game i’ve ever had trouble with is Magicka, which WILL NOT start. I sometimes get pfn list corrupt and memory management BSOD. Does that change anything?

Well your build is practically good for gaming so the only thing I could think of which would be a good upgrade is by getting an SSD which would make your booting time significantly only a few seconds and if you install the game you are currently playing on the SSD, your loading time will be much shorter thus making your gaming experience more satisfying.

EDIT: you can buy a new AM3+ mobo that is backwards compatible (compatible with you phenom II ) and supports Crossfire, has usb 3.0 and SATA III 6 gb / s, like this one:

ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS – $ 95 + $ 8 shipping

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131767

And then you can buy this SSD:

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5″ 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) – $ 95 ($ 80 after rebate) free shipping

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227706

TOTAL : $ 198 ($ 183 after rebate)

BTW, 8 gb RAM is more than enough for gaming, if you add 8 gb RAM more, it would just be a waste of money because you wouldn’t actually be able to use it up all at the same time especially if your main use for it would be playing PC games.

Even I would say only thing you can probably get is a SSD.
Or maybe a cool gaming case, i.e if you don’t already own one.

I agree, there is nothing I would change. SSD is a good suggestion.
