For gaming, I’d go for a high-end i5 combined with a better video card.

I’d also suggest getting the i5 2500K and getting a 560 GTX or 6950 Radeon instead. They are significantly better than the 550 GTX

    Have a similar system with Core i7 2600K @ 4.4 ghz air, 8 GB DDR3 1600mhz, PNY 570 GTX

A Western digital Caviar black 1 TB with 64 mb cache 7200 rpm would be better also

Setup looks okay, but you would be better off (especially on a budget) building your own.

This way you can get all the best parts and better Graphics card, along with saving at least over 120 bucks for hardware.

go for gtx 560 slightly better than 550 don’t go for ati as they have driver problems
Those who are saying for i5 i suggest that your processor choice is good because previous games were able to utilise only 2 cores but games like gta 4, cod black ops, battlefield bc2 can utilise 4 cores or threads and in future it is possible that highly graphical games will utilise 8 cores or threads so go for i7.
If you are out of budget go for i7 870 or i7 930 they are also great processor but dont compromise with graphics cards

the main problem i see. your spending that much on a PC, you should definately get a better graphics card. downgrade the CPU and get 4gb of Ram if necissary. but defenately get a better GPU
